VidCaster’s new “Leadwall” feature drives sales leads from your online videos
Posted by Kieran Farr on January 29, 2013 Comments
The VidCaster team is excited to announce a new feature called “Leadwall” launching today, available on Business Edition and higher service plans.
Leadwall is a video gate that asks your viewers for basic contact information in order to view a video. The VidCaster Leadwall feature allows you to collect actionable leads from your online videos with a CSV downloadable report or a Saleforce integration to send leads directly to your sales team.
The VidCaster Leadwall collection form is easy for your viewers to understand and designed to maximize conversion rates:

Like the rest of the VidCaster platform, we’ve designed our Leadwall feature to be simple for video marketers to create Leadwall forms and administer their leads, while still packing a punch with powerful lead generation features that experienced video marketing customers have asked for.

One of the most powerful attributes of VidCaster’s Leadwall feature is its customer relationship management (CRM) connectors. On launch we have support for CSV file export and a CRM connector for Salesforce, and we have many more integration announcements coming soon for other popular CRMs and marketing automation platforms. (Do you have a preferred CRM or marketing automation platform that you’d like to see integrated with VidCaster’s Leadwall? Let our sales and product team know what platform you use at sales@vidcaster.com!)
Our first CRM integration is the Saleforce.com platform. With this Leadwall connector, VidCaster sends a copy of each lead directly to your Salesforce account with a hidden Lead Source called VidCaster, so you always know which leads come from your video site, allowing you to directly track the performance of your video content in driving your bottom line.
Here’s a screenshot from Salesforce showing an example lead object created by the VidCaster Leadwall:

New: HD Switch for the VidCaster Video Player
Posted by Steve Cochrane on November 12, 2012 Comments
The VidCaster video player now has an HD switch (represented with the fairly standard ‘cog’ icon) which can be used to toggle between high definition and standard definition video. Here’s one of our tutorials for an example, with noticeably sharper text and screenshots in HD mode.
Site owners can still specify which resolution they want served by default in Player Settings, as shown in the above video. Also, once a viewer chooses HD or SD, that preference is stored and any future videos they watch will play in their preferred resolution.
This was the handiwork of our amazing contract developer, Dan Connor, who has made it open source and available to the VideoJS community. If you use VideoJS, you can grab his pull request now and use it in your own player.
